OUR MISSION

In October 2011, BRBVA teamed up with BREC to bring a major vision to life—The Team Automotive Group Sportsplex. Construction kicked off soon after, with a $5 million investment dedicated to creating one of Baton Rouge’s premier indoor sports facilities. By July 2012, the doors officially opened, welcoming athletes, families, and the community into a state-of-the-art space built for competition, development, and fun.

Today, the Sportsplex features multiple high-quality indoor courts and is engineered to host a wide variety of tournaments, leagues, camps, and special events—all under one roof.

BRBVA built the Sportsplex with three core goals in mind:

Provide quality, family-oriented recreational opportunities for the citizens of East Baton Rouge Parish

Holistic coaching principles into youth basketball and volleyball programming

Create an engaging, inclusive environment where participants from diverse socio-economic backgrounds can interact.

Director Biographies

Chase Stanley

Executive Director | Director of Basketball

Chase Stanley serves as the Executive Director and Director of Basketball at Team Sportsplex, overseeing all basketball programming, facility operations, and strategic initiatives. Appointed Executive Director in November 2025, Chase continues to lead the organization’s growth while fostering a development-focused environment for athletes of all ages.

Since joining Team Sportsplex in 2012, Chase has played a key role in shaping the facility’s basketball initiatives. As Director of Basketball since 2023, he has guided league operations, skill development programs, and community engagement efforts. He also contributed significantly to fundraising efforts for the Baton Rouge Basketball and Volleyball Association.

In addition, Chase is the Director of Red Storm Basketball, which he revitalized in 2018. Under his leadership, the program has grown from 4 teams (grades 5–8) to 11 teams spanning grades 4–11 as of 2025.

Chase’s basketball journey began at University Laboratory School in Baton Rouge, where he earned all-district, all-metro, and all-state honors. He led the state in scoring his senior year with 27.3 points per game and set a school record with 47 points in a game against 6A Allatoona High School in Georgia. He went on to play Division I basketball at Southern University under Coach Roman Banks before transitioning into coaching and program management at Team Sportsplex.
