Send a Kid to Camp Fund

At Team Sportsplex, we believe every child deserves the chance to experience the joy, growth, and camaraderie of our sports camps—regardless of financial circumstances. That’s why we created the Send A Kid to Camp campaign, an initiative dedicated to making our basketball and volleyball camps accessible to all youth.

2nd Annual Team Sportsplex Free Back to School Camp

Team Sportsplex proudly hosted its 2nd Annual Free Back-to-School Basketball Camp, powered by The Langston Galloway Foundation, and in partnership with Marcus Thornton on August 1, 2026.

Team Sportsplex proudly hosted its 2nd Annual Back to School Free Camp, providing more than 100 local student-athletes with an unforgettable day of basketball, mentorship, and community support. Hosted in partnership with the Langston Galloway Foundation and 10-year NBA veteran Marcus Thornton, the event was created to ensure every child had the opportunity to prepare for the school year while experiencing a positive, high-energy environment.

Throughout the day, campers participated in basketball instruction, skill development, competitions, and motivational sessions led by experienced coaches and special guests. Every participant also received a backpack filled with school supplies, a brand-new basketball, a Team Sportsplex dry-fit camp shirt, and additional giveaways to help them start the school year with confidence.

More than just a basketball camp, this event reflects Team Sportsplex's commitment to developing the whole athlete. By combining athletics with messages centered on academics, leadership, health, financial literacy, and character, the Back to School Free Camp continues to make a lasting impact on young people throughout the Baton Rouge community.

Team Sportsplex Free Back to School Camp

Team Sportsplex proudly hosted its inaugural Free Back-to-School Basketball Camp, presented by Fidelity Bank, on August 2, 2025.

In partnership with 10-year NBA veteran Marcus Thornton, this special event was designed to provide young athletes with a strong foundation in basketball fundamentals while fostering confidence, teamwork, and a genuine love for the game.

To make the experience even more impactful, every camper received free giveaways, including a book sack filled with school supplies, a brand-new basketball, a dry-fit camp shirt, and end-of-camp awards.

Beyond the court, the camp’s mission is to inspire well-rounded growth by promoting athletics, academics, health, and financial literacy. Through this holistic approach, Team Sportsplex strives to empower youth and guide them toward a positive and successful journey in sports and in life.

Langston Galloway One Day Free Clinic

Langston Galloway, a former standout at Christian Life in Baton Rouge and NBA Veteran, comes back to Team Sportsplex to host his Langston Galloway Basketball Clinic!

In partnership with the YMCA of the Capital Area, Our Lady of the Lake Hospital and the Jump Start Your Heart Organization, The Galloway Group, LLC has given hundreds of campers a day filled with excitement through basketball and educational components!
